7:50 am – Arrive early to beat the question rush, get a little of my work done. Can’t even get in the building without questions
- [T1]: My computer seem to be running slow, do you know what could cause that?
- [T2]: I got a virus on my personal computer last night how do I get rid of it?
[ALL CALL] – “Mr. Smead, please report to the main office”[ii]
- [T3]: I can’t get into my email, is the server down?
- [Office]: Is the Internet working?
Act II – On way to room
- [T4]: I can’t get my computer to see the Internet, do you know what is wrong?
- [T4b]: Is your lab free today during 3rd bell?
OK, I’ll skip checking in right now because I need to check the Internet
Act III – Finally in lab
- [Phone] – My computer is frozen what do I do?
- [Call to Help Desk]: Internet problems, should be back up now.
- [In Head]: 30 emails, 15 are SharePoint alerts, 5 junk mail, 4 jokes, 4 service desk change of orders, 2 from other CRS’s.
- [T5]: I can’t get into a website, did you test it? I know it’s a good site, I could get to it from home.
- [T6]: My Internet keeps asking for a user name and password, I put it in and it doesn’t work.

Act IIIb – Hall Duty and the Announcements
Act IV – Off to Class
- Off to teach multimedia projects to 6th grade
- [T7]: Computer won’t come on

- [T8]: We want to use Photostory today, and it’s not on the laptops, do you have time to install it now?
I’m on my way to teach a class.
But my lesson depends on it today.
I’ll try to get it done during my lunch but I’m late already.
- [T9] – Timmy’s locked out of his computer can you unlock his account?
Act IVb - Duck into restroom on way to next class.
[Knock, knock] CRS, are you in there? (Um...some things just have to wait and the restroom isn't one of them!)
Act V – Class
- Begin lesson, teacher outside and interrupts,
Do you have a blank CD I can use to copy some files?

Act VI – Lunch?
Another 30 emails, 10 about internet being down, 5 request for information, 1 when is that program going to be installed.
- [T10]: I need websites on biomes.
- [T11]: I sent the kids to Google images and some inappropriate stuff came up, what should I do.
Use the approved search sites in Destiny
- Half of lunch eaten and time to leave again.
- - email from DOT requesting information that is needed before close of business today.
Act VII – Afternoon Class
- Don’t make eye contact, don’t make eye contact.
- Walk quickly maybe they won’t remember what they need
Act VIII – The End of the Day
- I haven’t been able to use my computer all day, can you come up and look at it now?
